The biggest success of this
project, in my own opinion, is
that we have been able to create
an environment where a group of
people who often feel excluded
and criticized, now feel
welcomed, and relaxed and they
can take risks and learn safely.
Project Leaders voiced pride in their projects' ability to create a safe space for individuals in
their community. They were proud that their projects helped others to feel comfortable and
to feel like they belonged in a community.
4) The Sense of Belonging Created
I was most proud that this
event created a sense of
community not only for the
Muslim youth, but also for
their parents who came to
watch their kids.
My biggest success with this
project was being able to create a
safe space for the youth who
attended to speak their minds
freely without feeling any
restrictions or judgment[...]
