In 2021, the Samuel Connected North Youth
Leadership Fund offered two new granting streams:
Gathering Grants and Creativity Grants.
Gathering Grants
To address the need for community and belonging,
our team launched Gathering Grants. Successful
grant alumni received up to $2,000 to host and
facilitate virtual events to continue to engage young
people to overcome social isolation.
Creativity Grants
Our team planned and piloted a new grant
subcategory, the Creativity Grant. The Creativity
Grant welcomed Friendship, Youth, and Wellness
Centres to apply for a $1,000 grant to purchase
materials to support their programming.
