How do boundaries protect us? How do boundaries protect our relationships? 6.What are some examples of healthy boundaries we can have with people? 7.How do we demonstrate respect in our relationships? How do we know when we are being respected back? Finally, students will choose one significant relationship in their life and analyze it through a series of self-reflection questions found on the "Relationship Analysis" worksheet. ASSESS: The Turn and Talk is a form of formative assessment. Teachers will be able to check students' prior knowledge about what is a healthy relationship, how we can keep ourselves healthy in a relationship, and if there are dierent ways to be healthy - other than physical health. Teachers can assess group learning, group dynamics, and student communication skills. The debriefing questions after Pihêsiw's interview with Fireside Chats is a form of formative assessment. Teachers will be able to check what students took away from Pihêsiw's video and make connections to the other parts of the lesson. The Healthy Self/Healthy Relationships Analysis is a summative assessment. Students will be assessed through how they examine themselves on their worksheets, and through self-reflection questions at the end. Students will be given a mark out of 18. TAKE STUDENT LEARNING FURTHER Activity: Sexual Health Toolkit Exploration Pihêsiw Crane works for an organization called the Native Youth Sexual Healing Network (NYSHN). The Native Youth Sexual Health Network (NYSHN) is an organization by and for Indigenous youth that works across issues of sexual and reproductive health, rights and justice throughout the United States and Canada. NYSHN has a First Nations Sexual Health Toolkit on their website. The learning in the toolkit applies to Indigenous and Non-Indigenous students. In this activity, students can read through both parts of the First Nations Sexual Health Toolkit and explore the various terms, definitions, and sections. Students can then use the information they have learned to create a pamphlet, infographic, or hand-out. http://www.nativeyouthsexualhealth.com/toolkit.html
