TIG Model of Well-Being TakingITGlobal has developed its own model of Well-Being that is focused on the North and developed with those from the North. The perspective on Well-Being has been shaped by the exchange and development of the program between students, teachers, communities, education experts, elders, and TakingITGlobal as a true partnership. The focus has been on creating a learning experience that reflects what Well-Being means to young people of the North (TakingITGlobal, 2019a). To create and deliver a program that addresses these issues TIG began by asking youth what Well-Being looked like to them. This research question shaped the development of the curriculum, ongoing program management, and generated products like the Well-Being framework, a book and short documentary. Each of these products provide a visual representation of the story of Well-Being told through the experiences of young people in the North. The model outlines seven (7) core contributors to Well-Being across four domains. The contributors include: 1. Culture, Language & Identity 2. Parent and Family Involvement 3. Relationship with staff and "authority" 4. Relationship with peers and other students 5. Arts and Recreation 6. Food and Nutrition 7. Hope for the future
