LESSON 1: THE THREE W'S Casey shared the three key questions you need to be asking as you create and refine your business idea. • What product are you selling or what service are you providing? • Who are you selling your product to, or who is going to be using your service? • What platform are you going to be selling your product or service on? Whether you're going to be selling on Etsy, Wix, Shopify, Facebook or Instagram, these are the points you need to consider as you prepare to Cash In On Your Passion, just like Casey did. LESSON 2: BASICS OF BRANDING Branding is so important because it builds trust and reliability within your customer and your audiences. It also maintains consistency. In this lesson, Casey walks us through the things you need to know about creating your brand. YOUR NAME The name that you choose for your business should have some significance. Casey chose Sweetgrass Clothing Co because sweetgrass grows abundantly where she is from and it is a sacred medicine. Check to make sure your business name isn't already in use. YOUR BRAND COLOR Casey chose the colour pink because her spirit name is Pink Earth Woman. She also picked olive green for sweetgrass and white to bring it all together. The colours you pick should have significance to your business and each will emit different energies so it's important to keep that in mind. They should also be featured on all of your platforms: your website, your social media, your logo and even in your products. YOUR FONT Whether you pick cursive, graffiti, bolds, stencils, the font basically builds your business's personality. Make your business and your brand stand out with the right font. YOUR LOGO Your colours, your font and your name should all be within your logo. Your logo brings it all together. C A S E Y D E S J A R L A I S 4
