C A R L Y C H A R T I E R 58 PART 1 First, you're going to want to get together all the supplies to make the moccasins. You are going to need the leather/suede for the moccasin tops. You will want fleece liner to make them nice and cozy, some fur to keep them warm, a soft measuring tape, a needle for hand sewing and some thread to pull it all together. Think about the strength and weight of the thread needed to support the weight of the fabrics and the amount of movement you make with your feet day to day. You're going to want to make sure that the stitching can stand up to regular wear and tear so you can create something that isn't just beautiful but is also highly functional. And remember, over time, the leather will stretch! Take the fleecy fabric liner, fold it up and hand stitch it together.
