"You need to have confidence in your experimentation at this basic level. This is the time when you surround yourself with people who are challenging you. When you challenge yourself, when you build your skills, when you go and research, when you're gathering all these things at the basic level, this will contribute to a good career down the line, but you have to focus on the basics first." "You can't run without walking. You can't walk without crawling, you can't bike without training wheels at first. You don't need to go and find all of these people at once. Go find people that are building the community. Go find people that are contributing to artistic growth, who want to collaborate." Collaborations You always want to collaborate with different artists that are challenging you in different artists that are growing, that fit your vision, and align with your priorities. Networking is super key with getting to know people. With the right equipment and the right people, you can build the career of your dreams! Now go make music and magic! LESSON 4: THE THREE PILLARS THAT EVERY ARTIST STARTING OUT SHOULD KNOW "If you combine all three of these pillars as an independent artist, you are doing what you should be doing. They're very important for every artist." Work Ethic There are so many artists out there who want to get their music out so it's important you're putting in lots of work and effort towards it. It's a very big playing field right now and that's great for all young artists who want to start out. With access to the web and all these different resources, so many people want to get
