Spotlight on Technology as a Bridge to Connection
It opened with dance and closed with deeper
connection and understanding. The #RisingYouth
and Connected North programs were showcased
in the Futurists Design Exchange Exhibit as an
introduction and immersive experience to engage
with a business and technology audience.
Exploring Connections to Technology and Each Other
Between a documentary featuring interviews with
Indigenous role models, artist submissions highlighting
themes of wellness and technology, and highlights
of a sampling of thousands of funded RisingYouth
projects, TakingITGlobal's work with youth and
community were displayed in a memorable format
we've described as a "possibility demonstration."

Innovating Solutions and Creating Empathy
The logistics and process of producing an exhibit
of this magnitude and bringing in cultural pieces
provided an opportunity to build empathy to better
understand the systemic barriers that youth and
specifically Indigenous youth face as they navigate the
world, and the policies, procedures and structures
that are in place. We were called to create solutions
to integrate important cultural pieces within the
constraints of mainstream event planning.
