• Bring to life their next social entrepreneurship
and leadership initiative
• Get access to the necessary video and audio
equipment to make digital media projects stand out
Whether a travel grant, community project grant
or equipment loan, Samuel Connected North Youth
Leadership fund grantees expressed gratitude for how
it made life better. "When you have the support there
and you have the funding there, it makes a music career
much more easy," hip hop artist Dakota Bear explains.
" I encourage all my young
Indigenous entrepreneurs
to apply because other
applications can be really
daunting, can deter you
from applying... but the
Youth Leadership Grant
was straightforward",
Casey Desjarlais, fashion entrepreneur shared. Desjarlais
wanted to empower people to celebrate Indigenous
culture in a contemporary way, in the same way she
was empowered to take her business to the next level.
With information about the fund available in seven
different Indigenous languages, the application process
was designed for ease and accessibility to meet people
where they are and take them where they want to be.
