Executive Summary
Our mission at TakingITGlobal remains to empower youth
to understand and act on local and global challenges.
20 years later, as technology and the world around us
have changed, that looks a little different from when we
started, but our commitment to that goal continues.
2019 was an amazing year, marking 20 years of youth
engagement, education and social innovation. This year, we
were honoured to have been named as one of Canada's Most
Innovative Nonprofits and this wouldn't have been possible
without the hard work of our partners and staff, investments
in programming from our funders, and creativity of youth
participants we serve who inspire us through their leadership.
