That's the premise behind the partnership of Canada World Youth, Youth Challenge International, funded by Global Affairs Canada as part of Canada's Volunteer Cooperation Program. EQIP HUB is about building capacity through innovative youth programming that helps Canadians participate in global development. 18 international HUBS work towards improved livelihood opportunities for youth, global collaboration for change and building sustainable futures. In practical terms this looks like entrepreneurial training, skills development, all while improving social well-being. In 2019, more than 14,000 youth participated in the platform TakingITGlobal created to support entrepreneurship and employment skills, making strides towards their personal development. Djibouti Employment Platform Putting the Future of Djibouti To Work As part of this USAID-funded project, we have been supporting the development of a platform to match youth with jobs according to their skills and interests. In the face of high unemployment rates, the Djibouti employment project represents hope for the future for the youth who will benefit from this platform. This year saw TIG having largely finished the initial scope of the technical development, moving towards customization and capacity for implementation. The foundation has been set, leaving for room for enhancement, localization and further refinement based on collaborative work with partners. Solutions Solutions
