Throughout this project, young creatives developed and grew their filmmaking skills from storyboarding to editing footage for a final collaborative product. Participants were divided into two teams of editors and producers of this mini-documentary. Each team in groups of five, connected virtually for 60 minutes for bi-weekly workshops to collaborate on their section of the documentary, implementing the guidance of their teaching mentor. Furthermore, these teams connected with other young people from different fishing villages to compile information and photographs through messaging apps, such as WhatsApp. To allow more opportunities for improving and expanding upon their digital media editing skills, the young creatives were also provided with additional teaching materials and resources to learn and practice on their own time and at their own pace.
