E M B R A C I N G V I R T U A L L E A R N I N G 62 In response to the COVID 19 pandemic, JAYU developed and delivered their iAM programs virtually which brought together young creatives from diverse backgrounds to connect in deep meaningful ways. Through these various summer programs, the young creatives learned skills that taught them to use digital media as a tool for positive social change. To address technological access during this time, the JAYU team facilitated online workshops to provide resources and guidance on how young creatives can use their mobile devices to shoot photography and films and create digital collages. The young creatives virtually connected once a week over three to four weeks for the topic they signed up for. These sessions primarily focused on guiding these young creatives to explore and determine their personal style as an artist. The JAYU team also worked one-on-one with each participant to provide feedback and help them find their unique style. The young artists used their mobile devices for shooting photographs and utilized Adobe tools, such as Photoshop and Illustrator, to create digital collages that reflected their own style.
