PROGRAM OVERVIEW Connected North delivers immersive and interactive educational resources to schools in remote Indigenous communities through Cisco's high definition, two-way video technology. Given the challenges of reaching these communities in-person, Connected North provides much needed resources virtually – and on-demand. Schools choose the sessions most relevant to them through curriculum enhancing opportunities for K-12 best suited to meet a variety of learner needs and profiles, including: mental health and well-being services, mentoring, access to museums, aquariums, science centres, art galleries, native language instruction, teacher training and support, digital skills training and much more. Founded in 2013, Connected North served over 15,000 children and youth through 65 schools in the 2019-2020 school year. Connected North appreciates the support made from donors and partners to deliver programming for the 2019-2020 school year. With this funding, we were able to provide important, engaging educational content that provided students with increased feelings of empowerment in school and in life. In the coming pages, we will showcase some of the sessions made possible by the funding, the impact of these sessions, and how we aim to continue to grow the program. 3
