The workshop combines instruction and collaborative discussions and activities. Participants will be guided to develop a personal wellness plan that they can use to support themselves and their colleagues to do the work they love. Two formats available: Introductory (45 minute) or half-day (3 hour) sessions available. EMBODY ING PE ACE; PATHWAYS TO WELLNESS IN EDUC ATION with Vinyasa Yoga This workshop is a good fit for anyone who is working with youth and looking to experience and share the benefits of yoga and mindfulness. This is also a great fit for anyone who values self-care in their day to day life. In this workshop, you will learn how to embody yoga and mindfulness practices so you can share them in your daily life with the youth you work with. Sustainability of health and wellness are themes of this workshop. BULLY C SI - CRITIC A L STEPS TO INTERV ENTION with McMillen Health This program illuminates various ways that bullying can be identified. All forms of bullying, including cyberbullying, affect all people in the bullying circle: target, bully, followers, and bystanders. Adults attending this session learn simple ways to reduce bullying and how to encourage students to report bullying. Adults leave with a better understanding of how they impact the lives of the youth with which they interact. A FFEC T REGUL ATION: CRE ATING C A LMER CL A SSROOMS with Janine Lawford As a senior social worker and psychotherapist, Janine has had extensive experience working with Indigenous children, youth and their families with a specific focus and expertise in the area of trauma and issues of affect regulation. In more recent years she has developed an interest in working in more remote Indigenous communities, and in partnership with the Hospital for Sick Children has been delivering telehealth services to Nunavut.
