They found a great need for education around sexual health, especially since youth at the centre stated that they had dropped out of school before receiving a sexual health course. They were never taught by their parents or siblings, or received the wrong information from friends. After recognizing this gap, Alison and her team facilitated a sexual health workshop to educate the youth about safe sex practices. They discussed topics such as puberty, pregnancy, sexually transmitted diseases, healthy relationships, and consent. Throughout the evening, they also demonstrated how to use a diva cup, how to insert a tampon, and how to put on a condom. They finished the evening by playing jeopardy to test the knowledge gained during their workshop. " We successfully educated the youth about safe sex practices, which was shown by their participation in jeopardy. In fact, not one question was answered incorrectly!"
