The project was a design-build for both Tr'ondëk Hwëch'in and non- Indigenous youth between the ages of 14 to 30 giving them the opportunity to learn the 3D design process firsthand by working collaboratively on a full-scale built prototype for a public space. The built projects led to a series of events and workshops in partnership with the Robert Service School Wood Shop, (s)Hiver Winter Arts Festival, and the Tr'ondëk Hwëch'in Youth Centre. " Our first structure was a community gathering space for (s)Hiver Winter Arts Festival and was titled The Riverside Gathering and Warming Pavilion (RGWP). This space was created on the frozen Yukon River and was located near the centre of town. This process was exciting because it allowed us to get out of the wood shop and onto the land."
