Echinacea is a perennial flower
that celebrates the cultural
heritage of the Old Sainte-Rose
district in Laval. #RisingYouth
grantee Stéphanie Fey gathered
a group of horticulture students
from the Collège Montmorency
to plant and grow 100 echinacea
plants as a way to celebrate the
district's cultural heritage and
encourage sustainable practices.
At an event unveiling heritage
plaques with information about
the district and neighbourhood,
Stéphanie distributed echinacea
plants to the residents of the
Old Sainte-Rose. There were 50
people in attendance. It was a
beautiful gesture to preserve
and celebrate heritage!
