Taking place at the National Arts Centre with other activities being held at the Philippine Embassy and West Block on Parliament Hill, PoP welcomed 100 student delegates to the national capital from British Columbia, Alberta, Manitoba, Ontario, and Quebec. The theme of the event was "lift while you climb" and delegates, panelists, workshop leads, and all participants were encouraged to think about not only their own success in their respective fields but also on how they can better enable others to succeed. " As the first national youth leadership conference for Filipino-Canadian youth by youth, this conference embarked on the goal of bringing more young Filipino- Canadian leaders together to discuss what it means to be leaders in their respective communities, the significance of representation in politics and government and other professions, what issues are important to Filipino-Canadian youth across the country, and challenges that our community is facing. In addition to having discussions on representation and identity, delegates also engaged in a variety of workshops."
