#RisingYouth grantee Gooteeleak
Ekho brought some light-hearted
fun and physical activity to his
school by organizing an intramural
soccer tournament. Taking
place during the students' lunch
hour, Gooteeleak's intramural
tournament gathered students of
all abilities to play, get active, and
bond! Students of all experience
levels were included in the team
were made to feel valued for their
different strengths and abilities.
More than just the tournament,
the event planning process itself
was an important lesson in
collaboration, organization, team
building, and sportsmanship!
" We do not often get the
chance to participate in
activities during lunch,
so this allowed students
a chance to be active, and
get out of their seats.
This activity brought the
entire school together to
watch their fellow students
participate in a soccer game.
It was amazing to see!"
