imparted within them. You may wish to consider ways to remove hierarchical structures in your organization to reflect more communal governance models. You may also analyze organization policies to examine places of cultural bias that can deter Indigenous identities to flourish. Decolonizing means decentralizing whiteness and Eurocentrism as the default orientation, and making space for alternative cultural ways to be honoured and welcomed. This may mean partnering with various communities to rewrite policy in reflection of the pluri-cultural understandings that are present within the organization. Decolonization does not only concern the people; it also concerns the land. In order to remove colonial systems of harm, we must also reconcile with the land and natural world. Practicing environmental consciousness support Indigenous peoples to feel that they are not the perpetrators of further harm and supports everyone.
