Now I have fresh ideas to bring back to my city, my views have really changed because now I can see what other people are doing, and the initiatives they are taking. So, with fresh ideas and a new perspective, I feel much more motivated to tackle climate change. ( D E L H I , I N T E R V I E W ) Almost all team members expressed a deep desire to bring what they learned from this project back home. Many wanted to engage their disinterested friends, as well as implement what they've learned in their own schools and countries: Most of the time I won't take any action to talk to [my friends], so now after the IPCC conference is done I'm going to go and tell them – climate change is real! ( E D M O N T O N , I N T E R V I E W ) That's one thing that I want to change when I get back to Brazil, I'll talk to my headmaster about everything I've learned from here, all the projects I'm seeing here… and say, you know I have this knowledge, these projects, lets go! And I don't want to just stop in my college – I want to know if it's possible to show the whole country. ( S Ã O P A U L O , I N T E R V I E W ) These connections may encourage students' involvement in, and sense of belonging to, their community as a whole. Field (2017) argues for the transformation of schools into places of community, because when students interact with business owners, city council members and other decision makers, they benefit from greater confidence and well- being, and form more resilient and trusting communities. Often, team members expressed a desire to engage with climate change through the medium they care about most. A team member from Calgary was most excited about curriculum change, while our interviewee from Bogotá was particularly motivated to engage with science and technology. This youth from Accra sees great potential for art: Ghana has the biggest e-waste dump in Africa. In Ghana there are some artists creating art by using e-waste.
