project, particularly from working collectively and actively with peers who also care deeply about climate change, and having the opportunity to share that work with an audience of powerful decision makers at the IPCC Cities conference. Hope and inspiration arose for all team members when they witnessed the positive actions of others, highlighting the incredible importance of role models—particularly one's own peers, parents, and teachers—who believe doing something about climate change is possible and necessary, and are themselves taking action, a finding that resonates with other research (see Brown 2016; Corner et al. 2015). I found it extremely inspiring that many of these other people are passionate about a world that's cleaner and greener, and that many of these students are taking up projects that are making a difference in their own cities. So even though it's not so widespread in my city that people are passionate and taking up projects, at least I have that: hope that there are people in other countries and other cities who are ready to combat climate change as a team. ( D E L H I , I N T E R V I E W ) Though team members came to this project already caring deeply about climate change, many indicated that it stimulated an even greater desire for action, increased hope, and enhanced efficacy. [This project] made me know even more that we need to act! ( S Ã O P A U L O , I N T E R V I E W ) It's motivating to know you can do something to at least stall impacts of climate change. So, you know, it gives you hope so you don't get too scared, you can do something. ( N A I R O B I , I N T E R V I E W ) 56 | F I N D I N G S
