Who are these youth, where do they come from, and why did they join this project? In this section, we ground our study by exploring team member's personal experience of climate change before the IPCC project. We look to where they come from—the social and ecological regions they call home—the entangled environmental, industrial, educational, and cultural landscapes that create their specific, situated experiences of climate change. Team members express not only their direct experiences with observable climate change impacts, but also climate change as a concept, a social experience conveyed through media, teachers, parents, and peers. Lastly, we attend to youth emotions and the reasons they joined the IPCC project. 2.1 Experiencing Climate Change at Home 22 | F I N D I N G S
